It was a fabulous holiday season and now that we have arrived in the New Year, I for one and looking forward to some fun closer to home. Being the food enthusiast that I am I’m looking forward to Williamsburg’s 4th Annual Area Restaurant Association Restaurant Week: It starts Sun, Jan 24, 2010 and runs until Sun, Jan 31, 2010 | 12:00PM
There are some great restaurants participating this year and the prices are looking good too. The two course lunches for $10.10 and three course dinners for $20.10 & $30.10. In fact there are so many Williamsburg area restaurants participating, I don’t know How I am going to squeeze them all in… But rest assured I will give it my best shot. Something else to do while we have some time on our hands, we might stop by William and Mary’s Muscarelle Museum of Art. Theres an exhibition entitled “Deeply Superficial” Its $10 bucks and runs until Sun, Jan 17, 2010

It features over 100 of Andy Warhos photographs, film and silkscreens of glamorous celebrities, socialites, and artists of the 60s and 70s, including Edie Sedgwick, Dennis Hopper, Bob Dylan, and Salvador Dali. This cutting-edge, multi-media exhibition offers a fresh interpretation of the conceptual underpinnings and the ambiguous voyeurism of his portraits in film, photography, and silkscreen and offers a rare look through Warhols eyes at his world, and his artistic process. The Muscarelle Museum of Art is located at the College of William and Mary on Jamestown Road in Williamsburg.

And now for the music! I am definitely going to go to this…
Thu, Jan 28, 2010 | 7:30 PM At The Williamsburg Lodge
John Pizzarelli joins the Williamsburg Symphonia to present Pop/Jaxx standards from over the past 40 years. Its a night at the cabaret! It’s $50 a person but I think it will be well worth it.

And always remember! When in Williamsburg Virginia, we are your preferred Williamsburg accommodation and lodging. Colonial Gardens Bed and Breakfast
