Our Best Restaurants

I always say I have three favorite restaurants in Williamsburg, now its four! Ron an I dined at the Sea fare on Route 60 a few nights ago and it really was lovely.

I enjoyed the traditional Surf and Turf which consisted of an 8 OZ fillet accompanied by a rather large lobster tail that came with a baked potato. I am extremely discerning when it come to food and wine but I also want as much bang for the buck as I can get. This meal did not disappoint. Although I would point out that the steak was a few degrees over what I asked for, it was not to far off and the lobster a smidgen dry I really do not think it would register with to many folks. I think it was just left under the warmer a few minutes too long, our server seemed busy.

Ron’s dish was a rather attractive skillet bake with scallops, shrimp, lobster and a white fish. He also enjoyed it.

The restaurant itself is very well done with nice tufted leather booths and low soft lighting although maybe a bit too low if your in need of readers. The service was really professional and on Target for the most part and the best part of the evening for me was having a traditional bananas foster prepared for me table side, how sweet it is….

Running a B&B is a tough Job! I have to go out to eat often in order to make sure I am giving our guests the most up to date information on what goes on around town… Or a least that’s how I justify it to my husband, Ron 🙂

I give Sea fare, 4.5 stars! out of 5
