The museums of Colonial Williamsburg include two different buildings, the DeWitt Decorative Art Museum and the The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum. The DeWitt Museum includes pieces of artwork you would probably find in homes from 1600-1850, such as pottery, furniture, and paintings. The Folk Art Museum includes historic pieces of jewelry, musical instruments, and a quilt exhibit visitors always come in talking about. Admission to these museums is included with the price of Colonial Williamsburg tickets, however most people don’t take advantage of them or give them enough time. Each one could easily take half day to explore!
