Attend an Easter Sunday Service at The Bruton Parish Church

The Bruton Parish Church, located in the heart of historic downtown Williamsburg, is a very special venue. Built in 1660, the house of worship is over 3 centuries old! It’s congregation has included many recognizable Revolutionary War heroes and past presidents, such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, George Wythe, Patrick Henry, and James Madison. Plaques with their names grace many of the pews to this day. Having survived both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, it is rich with history. For more history facts about the church, click here.

While this church is a historical landmark not to be missed, it also still has a very active congregation that gather there to this day! Visitors are welcome to come participate in services as they enjoy the historic architecture.

Easter Brunch at Opus 9 Steakhouse

This year, they are putting out a special Easter Brunch Buffet! On Sunday between 10am and 3pm, individual chef stations will be set up in the restaurant cooking up brunch favorites for diners. Williamsburg, Virginia has no shortage of outdoor activities. In fact, if you’ve ever had the opportunity to visit, you’ll know just how much walking there is to do. (Bring your sneakers!) Easter Sunday is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the spring season!

One of our favorite places to get outdoors is the Freedom Park. This nature area has hiking and biking trails and historic exhibits. For the more daring explorers, this park also has a zip line adventure called “Go Ape!” This attracting allows you to swing through the beautiful canopies of our Virginia trees with a view that you wont want to miss. With a new session starting every half-hour, you can book a time that fits into your day!
