Valentine’s Day seems to sneak up on us every year! But, don’t worry. Even if you forgot to make a dinner reservation, you can still make the day special for your sweetheart.
One of our favorite ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day is by starting the day with an elegant and delicious breakfast!
Not sure what to make? We’ve complied a list of some Valentine’s Day Breakfast Ideas that will show your Valentine you care.
Valentine’s Day Breakfast Ideas 2018
For the Indulgent Valentine
These delicious cinnamon rolls made our list because not only are they adorable and delicious, but because they’re so darn easy! While this recipe takes you through the process of making them from scratch, we find that using cinnamon rolls from the can works great, too. We do recommend that if you want to make it taste a bit more homemade, make your own glaze! Mix powdered sugar and Grand Marnier liquor (or orange juice) for the perfect topping!
Crepes will add an elegant touch to your Valentine’s Day breakfast. And since we’re indulging, why not try red velvet? With a cream cheese filling and a sweet chocolate drizzle, you simply can’t go wrong! (If you don’t like cream cheese, try filling the crepes with whipped cream instead!)
There isn’t much to say about this one. Nothing quite says “I Love You” like heart-shaped bacon!
For the Busy Valentine
Parfaits are a great on-the-go breakfast. Instead of preparing them in a glass, you can layer the delicious granola, fruit, and yogurt into a mason jar or plastic container. Then your Valentine can enjoy this parfait wherever they are!
Looking for an on-the-go, guilt-free pleasure? Special Valentine’s Day smoothies will fit the bill! Not only are they easy to take along on your morning commute, but they are easy to customize to fit anyone’s tastes. If you don’t like the flavors of the recipe we chose, try switching up some of the ingredients. Just make sure to add something red for Valentine’s Day!
This recipe proves that you can have an elegant and gourmet breakfast while sitting at your desk. We like to customize this recipe, using an Asiago cheese bagel and marscapone spread to balance the sweetness of the figs and honey topping. Simply divine!
For the Healthy Valentine
This healthy spin on the classic chocolate covered strawberry makes for a yummy and healthy way to start off Valentine’s Day. Choose a flavored yogurt or drizzle the finished strawberries with honey to make them even more delicious.
This recipe will change the way you see overnight oats. While overnight oats are not often thought of as appropriate for a romantic breakfast, this recipe proves that they can be! With fresh fruit and high protein chia seeds, this is a low-maintenance, healthy breakfast that can be enjoyed at home or on the go!
This is a completely customizable breakfast, making it a perfect fit in any diet plan. The cheese can be swapped out for a low-fat or plant-based version and the tortilla could be replaced with low-carb or gluten-free options. In addition, any toppings can be completely interchangeable to fit the needs and desires of many different palates. You can keep it healthy or make it into a cheat day treat!
